Who is it for?
This 90-Day Program is for women who are supporting loved ones through periods of poor mental health or mental illness. You’re probably feeling drained, overwhelmed, and at times, resentful—even if you don’t like to admit it. You’ve been doing everything you can to help your partner, parent, or child, but somewhere along the way, you’ve lost yourself. The exhaustion is real, and you’ve forgotten what it feels like to take care of yourself, let alone experience joy. You may have moments where you think, What about me?—and that guilt follows right behind.
You’re amazing at your job, crushing it at work, but at home, you feel completely out of control, as if nothing you say or do makes a difference. You’re walking on eggshells, avoiding conflict, and struggling to communicate without triggering defensiveness or tension. Deep down, you know something needs to change—both for your loved one and yourself—but you’re unsure how to get there. This program is for women ready to reclaim their energy, strengthen their relationships, and create a healthier balance while still providing loving support.
-
What will change?
By the end of this 90-day journey, you will experience a significant shift in how you approach both your own needs and those of your loved one. The exhaustion, overwhelm, and resentment that once consumed you will be replaced by clarity, confidence, and empowerment.
You’ll finally understand how to effectively communicate with your loved one, even in difficult situations, without walking on eggshells or triggering defensiveness. You’ll be able to express your needs and feelings with confidence, and they’ll feel heard and understood in ways they hadn’t before.
Most importantly, you’ll learn to set boundaries that protect your emotional and physical energy, allowing you to show up for yourself and your loved one without feeling drained or guilty. Instead of reacting to situations from a place of frustration and exhaustion, you’ll respond with calm, clarity, and compassion. You’ll reclaim your sense of purpose and joy, knowing that you’re not just surviving—you’re thriving.

The topics we will cover
Over the next 90 days, we’ll dive into the three core areas for joy in The Empowered Support Model: self-efficacy, communication, and boundaries. Each week, you’ll receive practical tools and strategies to integrate into your daily life.
1. Self-Efficacy & Energy Management
We’ll explore how to boost your confidence in handling life’s challenges while managing your energy. You’ll learn how to recognise and prioritise your needs without guilt.
2. Communication Mastery
Effective communication is the foundation of any strong relationship, but it becomes even more critical when mental health is involved. We’ll work on strategies to communicate clearly, calmly, and compassionately—without shutting down or avoiding difficult conversations.
3. Setting Boundaries Without Guilt
You can’t pour from an empty cup, and boundaries are the key to protecting your emotional well-being. You’ll learn how to set loving but firm boundaries that protect your energy and strengthen your relationships, all without the crushing guilt that often accompanies saying “no.”
Each of these topics is delivered through a mix of practical exercises, guided reflection, and weekly coaching support—ensuring you have the tools to transform your day-to-day interactions and overall wellbeing.

Imagine
Imagine waking up in the morning feeling energised—not totally dreading the day ahead, but embracing it. You have the confidence and tools to support your loved one through their struggles without sacrificing your own well-being. Communication with your partner or family member feels more natural. You speak your truth with confidence, and they feel seen and heard like never before.
Picture yourself setting boundaries with ease, not worrying about the backlash or guilt that used to come with protecting your time and energy. You’re able to enjoy the things you once loved—whether it’s spending time with friends, reading a good book, or simply having quiet moments to yourself—without feeling like you’re neglecting someone else.
This program is about more than just learning techniques; it’s about reclaiming your life. Imagine a future where you feel in control, balanced, and connected—not just to your loved one but to yourself. With the right support, you can break free from the cycle of burnout and step into the role of empowered support with joy and confidence.
This is for you if…
You’ve tried quick fixes but know you need a structured, guided path.
You want practical tools and strategies you can use every day, not abstract ideas.
You’re ready to communicate in ways that make both you and your loved one feel seen and heard.
You crave a sense of control and want to stop walking on eggshells.
You know focusing on yourself isn’t selfish but essential to supporting others.
You’re willing to invest in yourself because you see the value in sustainable change.
You’re ready to end the cycle of frustration, resentment, and guilt and replace it with resilience, joy, and clarity.
I get it.
I have been there
Here is the truth that no one is telling you.
You might not realise it yet, but living with someone facing mental health challenges can cloud your own sense of self and leave you feeling lost in their struggles.
But it can get better, it’s not a quick fix but in a short period of time you can learn techniques that will put you on the right track. Yes, you’re right they need help to get better, but you’re not going to be able to force that. You need to ensure you have your energy, resilience and vision en-point to be able to support them. It is not selfish to focus on you it’s essential, to you providing the support for your loved ones, especially if you have wider family to support too.
In the depths of supporting a loved one through their mental health challenges, I've experienced the emotional whirlwind firsthand. Nights lost to worry, exhaustion creeping in as sleep remains elusive, and days filled with constant trepidation. Pretending at work everything is normal and your are ok. Simple activities become daunting tasks, fearing the consequences of leaving home and returning to an unpredictable situation. Despite being surrounded by loved ones, an overwhelming sense of isolation envelopes you, like an invisible barrier keeping you apart. You slowly stop being you, you might not even notice it as it creeps up.
Communication dwindles, and conversations become scarce, leaving you with your thoughts and worries. The world seems to shrink, leaving only work colleagues and perhaps the kids as the sole sources of interaction. At times, it feels like you're not doing enough, questioning your worth as a partner, sister, mother, or girlfriend. The burden of unmet expectations weighs heavily.
Seeking solace at work, you linger longer, postponing the return home. In these moments, you wonder if there's a way out.
There is a way out. I found mine working with a coach and putting the focus on me.
Working with me, a coach who understands what you are going through, is the way for you.
Imagine feeling more connected, understood, and resilient. Picture yourself supporting your partner with unwavering love and strength, while also embracing your own happiness and fulfillment.

The empowered support model
-
Communication
Transform conversations that once felt impossible. Discover ways to express yourself with compassion, assertiveness, and confidence, even during challenging moments. You’ll create a new foundation of understanding with your loved one.
-
Boundaries
Learn how to set boundaries that protect your energy, not alienate your loved ones. Understand that saying ‘no’ can sometimes be the greatest act of love—for yourself and others
-
Self efficacy
Ground yourself with practices that build resilience from within. You’ll develop the skills to handle life’s challenges with strength, hold space for your own needs, and reconnect to joy
But What if…
• Support doesn’t mean self-sacrifice.
• Being there for others doesn’t mean abandoning yourself.
• Loving someone through mental health challenges doesn’t mean letting their challenges become your own.
Most women in your position think they need to sacrifice their own happiness to be there for their loved ones. They believe their needs should come last, that they can’t set boundaries without damaging the relationship, and that true support means being endlessly selfless.
YOu don’t have to give up your joy, your dreams, or your peace to support someone else. You just need the tools and skills to do it sustainably.

Here’s what others are saying…
ABOUT ME
I thought you might want to know a bit about who you will be working with so…Hey, I’m Emma.
I’m passionate about working with women who are supporting loved ones who are in periods of poor mental health or illness.
Why, because I’ve been there and know it can be tough. I’ve spent several years supporting a loved one with periods of mental illness. Having a coach has been vital for me
I started with my own coach while supporting a loved one who was going through a period of poor mental health. They brought so much value and support to my life. I was incredibly fascinated and drawn into the coaching world and after a while, I knew this was something I was going to explore and share with other women.
I have achieved so much while working with my coach. Pushed myself to do things I would not have dreamed of doing, been to places I wouldn’t have gone and experienced things I would not have imagined.
Don’t get me wrong I still have days where things are not great, but working with a coach gave me tools to be able to recognise those emotions and move through them. I want to share it with you too!
Working with me as your life coach can be revolutionary. It helped me have purpose again, fill my time with things I enjoy, be a better support and role model for the loved ones I support. It does take commitment and work, it is not a magic wand….. but it is worth it.
So that's my story on how I became a transformational life coach for women.
I’m a coach for Dr Sarah Madigan’s Joy movement and have previously worked for Pippa Matthew’s, as well as supporting Paul Mort Certify coaches in his academy. And just in case you were wondering,I’ve trained with Dr Sarah Madigan and I'm a level 4 Transformational Coach, certified by Paul Mort Coaching Academy and IAPC&M.
On a personal note I love skiing, the mountains are my happy place…if you follow me on social media (and if you don’t you should be :)) another place that brings me joy and is slightly more accessible is cold water, whether it be the sea, a lake or a river I love it!.
Disclaimer
I am not a trained mental health practitioner nor do I have any medical training. I am a trained mental health first aider and may be able to point you in the direction of resources for you and your loved ones to get support with mental health conditions.
And…. I’m Paul Mort Coaching Academy Coach of the year!
